Sign up for STNDRD using your work email address. STNDRD uses your company email domain to help connect users to the correct organization and keep each organization’s content separate.
## Start from the landing page
- Go to stndrd.work.
- Select Sign Up.
- Enter your name.
- Enter your work email address.
- Continue to email verification.
Use the email address associated with your company or organization. STNDRD does not allow common personal email domains such as **@gmail.com**, **@hotmail.com**, or **@outlook.com** for organization setup.
## Verify your email
After you enter your name and email, STNDRD sends a one-time code to that email address.
- Open your email inbox.
- Find the verification email from STNDRD.
- Copy the one-time code.
- Return to STNDRD.
- Enter the code to verify your email.
If you do not see the email, check your spam or junk folder. Make sure you entered your email address correctly before requesting a new code.
## Set up or join an organization
Once your email is verified, STNDRD checks your email domain. The domain is the part of your email address after the @ symbol.
For example, if your email is:
Your organization domain is:
**examplecompany.com**
STNDRD uses this domain to help identify which organization you belong to. This helps keep your company’s Standard Works, users, and training content separate from other organizations.
## If you have an invite
If you are already a member of an organization or have a pending invite, STNDRD will show that organization after you verify your email.
Select the organization you want to join and accept the invite.
If you expected to see an invite but do not see one, ask your organization’s Owner or Admin to confirm that they invited the correct email address.
## If your organization has trial access
Some organizations are set up ahead of time with a code or trial access period.
If your organization has trial access available, STNDRD will show that option during signup. Follow the on-screen instructions to continue with the trial.
If you believe your organization should have trial access but you do not see it, contact your STNDRD administrator or support contact.
## If you are creating a new organization
If STNDRD does not find an existing organization, pending invite, or trial access for your email domain, you will be directed to the plan page.
From there, choose the plan that fits your organization and continue setting up your paid account.
## Why personal emails are not allowed
STNDRD is designed for businesses and organizations. Using a shared company email domain helps STNDRD:
- Connect team members to the correct organization.
- Keep each organization’s content separate.
- Prevent users from accidentally creating duplicate organizations.
- Make it easier for admins to manage access.
- Protect company-specific training content.
For this reason, use your work email instead of a personal email account.
##Stuck?
If you cannot complete signup:
- Confirm you are using your work email address.
- Check your inbox for the one-time verification code.
- Check spam or junk folders.
- Make sure your organization has invited the correct email address.
- Ask your admin whether your organization already has an account or trial setup.
- Contact STNDRD support with your name, work email, organization name, and a screenshot or description of the issue.
